Tatevik Sahakyants, MD

Tatevik Sahakyants, MD, Director of Animal Research at 3D BioLabs, LLC. 

Dr. Sahakyants is responsible for the planning and coordination of the animal research; performing animal surgeries; and providing support of other research and development activities for 3D BioLabs in cell culture studies, assays and experiments, and engineering design. 

Dr. Sahakyants earned her MD from Yerevan State Medical University, Armenia, where she later received her surgical and microsurgical training at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery and Microsurgery. Dr. Sahakyants is ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) certified.

Dr. Sahakyants’ extensive surgical research experience includes working at the Microvascular Research Laboratory at Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic and at the Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Organ Fabrication at the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Sahakyants has been a part of 3D BioLabs since it has begun its research activity.
